I feel like buying some of the Perry's plastic 8th Army and Afrika Korps purely for the nostalgic joy that the Airfix figures gave to me (though the Airfix box artwork was just fantastic). Interesting what you say about the tunic, just found a pic of a pickelhaube being worn in 1918 too - that surprised me too.
Best wishes,
JasonJasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03440418250366404723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759788396515762996.post-34081075185282242692020-02-15T20:13:10.804+00:002020-02-15T20:13:10.804+00:00Hello Phil, I am so glad you like them.Hello Phil, I am so glad you like them.Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03440418250366404723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759788396515762996.post-49616802485157469722020-02-15T20:12:47.873+00:002020-02-15T20:12:47.873+00:00Thanks rross...I agree obsessive is probably the w...Thanks rross...I agree obsessive is probably the word - I worry myself sometimes! I read an article in military illustrated that covered the history of an early war tunic that got repaired and re issued later in the war, so your on sound ground as far as that's concerned!
Best Iain caveadsum1471https://www.blogger.com/profile/02174163740406928172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759788396515762996.post-9317845393470720952020-01-21T18:05:28.036+00:002020-01-21T18:05:28.036+00:00Diversified and superb Jason, great details!Diversified and superb Jason, great details!Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08913029478686087197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759788396515762996.post-71562733627159254032020-01-21T06:32:47.049+00:002020-01-21T06:32:47.049+00:00Outstanding effort again on these late war Bosches...Outstanding effort again on these late war Bosches Jason. You have obviously put enormous (should that be obsessive?!) effort into getting all the details right and the end result is worth the trouble you have taken. rrosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07316317334203888350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759788396515762996.post-65359434856667598152020-01-21T02:47:58.903+00:002020-01-21T02:47:58.903+00:00These look terrific, and all that meticulous resea...These look terrific, and all that meticulous research into correct colours has really paid off.
